My name's Lisa and I write the blog Geordie Nails. I love blogging and so I thought it might help to keep an online diary during my attempt to lose weight. I have just taken the plunge and ordered healthier food from Asda to be delivered tomorrow... there's no backing out of it now!
I want to lose weight as I'm clinically obese and am feeling the effects. The most major one is that I will soon need surgery to remove my gallbladder due to painful gallstones; these are linked to obesity. I also have problems with fatigue, and feeling heavy and groggy can't be helping!
I have an up-and-down history of weight loss. I started off very successfully - aged 18 I just woke up one day and decided that I was going on a diet. I went on to lose 2.5 stone, which left me at a very healthy weight. Since then my depression and fatigue have gotten worse and I've hit lots of roadblocks in life including a very upsetting and unstable relatonship which dominated my life for far too long. I steadily put the weight back on, and then some. I tried a couple of times to recreate the dieting success I'd had to begin with, but it was always one stress too many and I gave up.
So, this time, I hope to have the motivation to pull this off. I really desperately want to! My method will basically be calorie-counting using the Weight Watchers original points formula as I find this easy and the structure comforting. I will be consuming around 1320 calories per day. Wish me luck!
